Chillisauce netball team off to difficult start

When Kim had the bright idea to start a Chillisauce mixed netball team there was widespread enthusiam in the office. The thought of throwing a ball around on a Wednesday night and then having a few drinks afterwards appealed, so Team Chillisauce entered an after-work league in Waterloo.

The only vacancy for a team in the competition was in Division 1 (where the serious players play), however the valliant Chillisauce team were undeterred despite the fact that most of the team haven't played any competitive sport since school, which for some was a very long time ago!

Unfortunately despite the boundless enthusiasm of the brave Chillisaucers, the season has started with three defeats- a 7-9, and two hammerings (look away now if you don't like seeing one-sided sports results), 3-28 and 1-27.

However last Wednesday the team recorded their best result of the season and avoided a much-feared pummelling. It was meant to be the team's week off, but someone (who shall remain nameless) misread the fixture list so the Team Chillisauce were left standing around with nobody to play.

The only way is up from here!
