When it comes to team building, it seems that people just can't get enough of the Crystal Challenge and It's a Knockout. Events based on retro television shows have never been so popular as it gives people the opportunity to roll back the years, get outside in the sunshine (perhaps) and enjoy some old school fun.
The William Pears Group wanted an event for 100 of their staff in Hertfordshire which encouraged team building and communication but was light hearted and energetic. They liked the look of both Crystal Challenge and It's a Knockout, but were torn between the two. That's when Corp Fun Manager Ian came up with a simple solution; do both. Ian booked the group into one of Hertfordshire's top venues set in 55 acres of rolling parkland and organised a full day of unforgettable fun.
In the morning the group took part in the Crystal Challenge which culminated in the top teams spending time in the brilliant purpose-built dome scrabbling for golden tickets. After lunch the team got wet (partly because it was raining) and wild with three It's a Knockout games- funnel tunnels, giants and penguin pursuit- which involved donning huge costumes, sliding around in soapy bubbles and catching fish like Pingu.
Despite the inclement weather, William Pears still enjoyed a cracking day:
'Thanks again to Chillisauce for making yesterday a success despite the weather, our office is a buzz this morning with people recalling the events.'
