Things just don't get any better for the Chillisauce netball team. Having started the season with a pair of painfully heavy defeats, the team were optimistic going into their next round of matches.
First up were the team with perhaps the most threatening name in the history of amateur netball- The Angles of Death. Despite the gallant efforts of the Chillisauce players including Mike 'the Munch' Elders who has brought a physical side to the team, the AoD ran out 28-1 winners, with Chillisauce's only goal being scored by Isabel Gwynder-Lewis. Captain Kim Drew described the result as 'smashing', or that might have been 'a smashing'.
Undeterred the team returned to the site of the previous weeks' mauling on Wednesday to face Team Sam. Despite the less intimidating name, Team Sam racked up a massive 32 goals in response to a shell-shocked Team Chillisauce's 2. Captain Kim racking her brains for suitable adjective plumped for 'flogging'. However the team did provide the comedy moment of the match when Ali's shorts fell down mid-jump which had both teams in stitches.
Record books are now being checked to find out the worst goal difference at the end of a full season!
